The Parisian Journey...

Is over.
The books are now complete and all sealed up in their own little bags.

Too much colour..

Another roll of paper, another set of drawings, this time i decided to make a background by adding paint and collage. I used magazines and objects around the house to draw from. I think I went a bit mad with the colour.

Night in...

This is the result of a night in with lots of paints, pens, magazines and a big roll of paper. Me and my fellow illustrating friend Kieron Sheehy spent the night drawing 'for fun'. These are continuous line drawings whilst not looking, then I just added paint and some colour.

Lead Balloon...

...Today was the deadline for my Polaroid campaign project, and it didn't go down well. I was very disappointed with what i came up with. I think i rushed the posters, which is probably because i decided on the topic about 3 weeks in.

New project brief; Limited edition illustrated book. I'm excited about this one.

Early bird..

Getting up early for uni is always something i find difficult, so I surprised my self yesterday when i got up at 7.30 on a non-uni day. I decided to make use of my time and went to the 'tat' market in town.

I took a few polaroids for my project and found myself a bargain, 8 cassettes for £1. Then I spent the rest of the morning life drawing, which was quite a disaster as i am terrible at it.Something that wasn't quite so terrible were the cassettes i've drawn, i had a lot of fun doing them and i'm really pleased with how they've turned out.

Popped to the Lowry..

Today i took part in a paper engineering workshop at the Lowry. There is an exhibition there at the moment called 'Pop-up- Around the World'. We spent the afternoon making our very own pop-ups, this is what i came up with;

What a coincidence..

I recently borrowed a book from the university library on found Polaroids. I was amazed that so many snap shots had been lost, thrown away or forgotten about, and couldn't imagine ever coming across a disowned Polaroid myself.

So imagine my surprise when i stumbled upon this ghostly picture. Kayleigh's very own 'found' Polaroid book. Chapter one. Done!

First things first..

Hello...and welcome. You have stumbled in to my growing world of illustrations. There isn't much to see just yet, but follow me and keep an eye on my progress and i promise there will be lots to see in the future.

To get things started, here is something i have worked on tonight for a project on Polaroids. I grabbed some post-its and drew each of these in the time it would take for a polaroid to develop. Quite clever eh?
